Track 01 – ako’y Pinoy

Ako’y Pinoy

by Florante

Track 02 – Handog

Handog

by Florante

(Fades out…)

Track 03 – Anak

Anak (Child)

music and lyrics by Freddie Aguilar

Nong isilang ka sa mundong ito

Laking tuwa ng magulang mo

At ang kamay nila ang iyong ilaw

At ang Nanay at Tatay mo’y

Di malaman ang gagawin

Minamasdan pati pagtulog mo.

Di man sila payag

Walang magagawa

Nalaman mong ika’y nagkamali

Pagsisisi ang sa isip mo’t

Nalaman mong ika’y nagkamali

Pagsisisi ang sa isip mo’t

Nalaman mong ika’y nagkamali

This song is about a prodigal child’s realization of his/her life gone astray.

Track 04 – Masdan Mo ang Kapaligiran

Masdan Mo Ang Kapaligiran

by Asin

Refrain 3:

Track 05 – Ang Bayan Kong Sinilangan

Ang Bayan Kong Sinilangan (Timog Cotabato)

by Asin

Bakit kayo nag-away, bakit kayo nagkagulo

Ituring mong isang kaibigan

Coda:

Sa bayan kong sinilangan (bakit may gulo…)

Sa timog Cotabato (sa timog Cotabato)

Ako ay namulat (kailan matatapos…)

Sa napakalaking gulo (ang gulo)

Dahil walang respeto (kailan magkakasundo…)

Sa prinsipyo ng kapwa tao (ang tao)

Kapwa Pilipino (kapwa Pilipino…)

Ay kinakalaban mo (bakit kinalaban mo)

Ang gulo.

Track 06 – Pagbabalik

Pagbabalik

by Asin

Musical Interlude

Coda:

Patawarin mo ako kung ako’y nagkamali

Sa landas na aking tinahak.

Track 07 – Oras Na

Oras Na

By Coritha

Track 08 – Bulag, Pipi at Bingi

Bulag, Pipi at Bingi (Blind, Dumb and Deaf)

By Freddie Aguilar

(Spoken)

Track 09 – Bayan Ko

Bayan Ko (My Country)

by Freddie Aguilar

Chorus:

Ibon mang may layang lumipad Kulungin mo at umiiyak Bayan pa kayang sakdal-dilag Ang ‘di magnasang makaalpas?

Pilipinas kong minumutya, Pugad ng luha at dalita Aking adhika, Makita kang sakdal laya.

Musical Interlude

Repeat Chorus:

Ibon mang may layang lumipad Kulungin mo at umiiyak Bayan pa kayang sakdal-dilag Ang ‘di magnasang makaalpas?

Pilipinas kong minumutya, Pugad ng luha at dalita Aking adhika, Makita kang sakdal laya…..

Track 10 – Tayo’y Mga Pinoy

Tayo’y Mga Pinoy

By Banyuhay

Chorus 2

Mayrong isang aso, daig pa ang ulol

Siya’y ngumingiyaw, hindi tumatahol

Katulad ng iba, painglis-inglis pa

Na kung pakikinggan, mali-mali naman

Wag na lang.

Musical Interlude

Repeat Chorus 2, except last line

Mayrong isang aso, daig pa ang ulol

Siya’y ngumingiyaw, hindi tumatahol

Katulad ng iba, painglis-inglis pa

Na kung pakikinggan, mali-mali naman

Wag na, oy oy

Oy, ika’y Pinoy

Oy oy, ika’y Pinoy.

Track 11 – Sierra Madre

Sierra Madre

By Coritha

INTRO

Repeat CHORUS

CODA Kandungan mo’y laging hinahanap 2x

Track 12 - Lolo Jose

Lolo Jose (Grandfather Jose)

By Coritha

(Repeat chorus)

"Hi," while most Filipinos speak English a little, or even a lot,

the main everyday language is Pilipino which is mainly Tagalog words. Like natives of all countries we appreciate and honor visitors that at least try to learn a few simple sentences to use during their trip. Also, it is surprise to see Tagalog words in Western gentleman’s letter, and make it stand out from rest of letters. We like even if you did not say it exactly right. It is because it shows a desire to learn about our culture which is reassuring since we worry about leaving so much behind if we move to another country.

You may be confused about languages names. First of all, what is Filipino (Pilipino) and how is it different from Tagalog. (ta gol’ log)

Filipino = Tagalog + Local dialect words + Borrowed Foreign Words

Filipino is the combination of Tagalog (the original dialect from which most words of Filipino are based), words from local dialects (The Philippines has a LOT of dialects like Bisaya (Visaya), Ilokano, and Kapampangan), and some borrowed foreign words adapted into this dynamic language. The three centuries of Spanish rule in the Philippines left a strong imprint on the vocabulary. Mesa (table), tenedor (fork), papel (paper), and asero (steel) are only a few of hundreds of Spanish words in Tagalog.

Xoom is a great way to send money to The Philippines. The cash can be picked up at over 400 Equitable PCI Bank locations. FREE delivery is also available in many areas. Xoom is much less than Western Union especially on small amounts like under $200 the fee is usually half that of Western Union (i.e. send $50 for only a $5 fee). Even on larger amounts the savings are substantial and in many cases the locations are much more convenient as Equitable PCI Bank has branches in small towns and shopping areas all over The Philippines. While you need Internet access and a bank account or credit/debit card to make a transaction, the recipient does not need either a bank account or Internet connection to get the money. You will receive an email notification when the money has been delivered or picked up.

They have an arrangement with PayPal to actually transfer the money. I have used PayPal for six years without even a single problem - I highly recommend them. And Equitable PCI Bank is very respectable Bank in Philippines so use the Xoom service with confidence. Go Xoom Jean
